Why Give

Give

The Peter Michael Foundation is a public, grant making foundation that serves as a catalyst for discovering and underwriting the most innovative, most promising tools and technologies for the identification, treatment, management and cure of prostate cancer.

The Foundation’s goal is to be instrumental in achieving true medical breakthroughs that are innovative, effective and significant with true patient benefits within relatively short periods of time.

The Foundation’s strategy for achieving this goal is the Best-of-Class Prostate Cancer Research Investment Strategy, a focused, disciplined process for identifying high potential research opportunities in prostate cancer. The Best-of-Class Prostate Cancer Research Investment Strategy leverages its relationships to identify and vet investment-grade research opportunities in prostate cancer imaging and focal treatments.

The Foundation is tightly focused on prostate cancer because of the high incidence of the disease, the deficient levels of government research funding, the applicability of medical advances to other soft tissue cancers and the need for dramatic improvements in patient care.

The Peter Michael Foundation depends on the kindness and generosity of people like you to support its significant work. There are many ways you can help.

Special Donations

Donate in memory or in honor of a loved one or friend. Any of the Ways To Give identified here can be for Memorial or Honorary Gifts. Both types of gifts will be acknowledged in the Year In Review Reports. In addition, PMF will write a letter to those who are being recognized by an Honorary Gift, informing them of the gift and the donor, but not the amount of the gift.

Many companies have matching gift programs that encourage employees to contribute to worthwhile organizations like the Peter Michael Foundation. Most of these programs will match your contribution dollar for dollar. Some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Check with your Human Resources Department to see if they have a program in place that will provide matching gift support for PMF.

Please mail your completed matching gift form to:
